The Circle of Love Foundation is hosting its 7th Annual Back-To-School Supplies drive now through August 1, 2019.
This year, the Hoover-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has partnered with Grace House Ministries and Olivia’s House to supply back-to-school basics and backpacks for more than 160 children in the Birmingham-area.
“The Foundation and its parent company, RealSource Title Insurance and Real Estate Closings, has done a great job growing our other programs throughout the years, but this year we are especially focused on garnering support for our back-to-school drive,” said organization founder and president Doris Phillips. “Our goal is met if we can provide support for even a single child’s educational future.”
The Circle of Love Foundation volunteers will supply donors with one clear backpack per child sponsored to fill with supplies. Individual bags will include a child’s gender, grade level and a list of basic items to provide according to where he or she will attend school.
Empty backpacks will be delivered to sponsors by Wednesday, July 17, and will be picked up by Foundation members on August 1. Participants may also pick up sponsorship items and drop off donations at RealSource’s home office off Valleydale Road in Hoover.
“What’s great about this opportunity is that sponsors don’t have to act alone to help our community’s children in need. We always welcome individual donors, but we also encourage friends and family to band together to sponsor a child and to rally their office teams and businesses to sponsors a backpack or two as a group,” Phillips said. “If our generous sponsors and volunteers can help set even just one child up for success, we have succeeded in our efforts.”
